Culture + Art = Henna

Lindsey recently taught us all about the art and cultural importance of Henna.

With markers and paint we tried our hand at the ancient art.

We did our own and had Lindsey's help when we wanted to get fancy!

The final result? AWESOME!

Think we'd be scared of a little (and by little I mean HUGE) old snake? THINK AGAIN. :) Luckily, we had a pro to help us through it and teach us everything we needed to know.

Nurturing seeds......

When the nature center was in need of planting herbs they knew just who to call.....YSB! We were happy to lend a hand and learn more about growing herbs.

Happy Valentines Day!

We celebrated Valentines Day by helping the Nature Center prepare roses, Valentine cards and flower arrangements for a fundraiser. We hope you had a great Valentines Day like we did!

Getting Artsy...

At YSB we get to do a little bit of everything. Luckily, we have an artist in our midst who continues to expand our horizons. Our volunteer Lindsey recently guided us through the lovely art of glass mosaics and we had a blast.
